While we expected an upgrade in the fifth
generation of the Apple iPad, we never expected such tremendous
streamlining in the products.
Apple has announced the new tablet
measuring 9.7 inches called the iPad Air. Unlike the other iPads the
iPad Air has a refreshing design with full metal body and the slim
profile. The iPad Air measures just 7.5 mm in thickness, making it
thinner than all the previous devices and the bezels have shrunk by
almost 43 percent.
The 64 bit version dual core Apple A7
processor, which was used in the Apple iPhone 5S has also been used in
the iPad Air. The Retina Display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels
on the 9.7 inch display has been properly maintained. Similarly, the
devices uses the 5MP iSight camera with auto-focus but however has an
improved front-facing FaceTime HD camera. The device is said to be
priced starting from $499 for a 16 GB Wi-Fi version.
Meanwhile Apple has renamed the iPad 4 as the Apple iPad 2 and priced at $399, which is the same price as that of the Apple iPad Mini 2.
